TCC Announces Public Launch of the Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT)
After more than two years of development, TCC Group announced today that the Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) is now available for retail sale to individual nonprofits and funders.
The CCAT is the most comprehensive online self-assessment tool based on a nonprofit organization’s four core capacities, in addition to organizational culture. Previously, the CCAT was available on a limited basis to large foundations and corporate funders who were purchasing multiple copies for a cohort of grantees.
“Thanks to the Internet and advances in e-commerce technology, we are now able to provide the tool to individual nonprofits and to a wider range of funders and associations,” said Richard Mittenthal, President & CEO of TCC Group. “We feel the CCAT is an important tool to help nonprofits build capacity and we’re pleased to have this opportunity to make the tool available to more organizations.”
Completed by a nonprofit’s senior staff and at least two or three board members, the 146 question online tool provides users with a report analyzing their strengths and providing recommendations for future growth and change. The report also includes an assessment of the nonprofit’s organizational development “lifecycle score” and a prioritized set of recommendations.
“The four core capacities of adaptive, leadership, management, and technical capacity – along with organizational culture – are crucial in strengthening a nonprofit,” said Peter York, TCC’s Director of Evaluation, who led the creation of the CCAT. “The CCAT’s prioritized set of recommendations answers the biggest question nonprofits have after receiving any consulting service – ‘how do I use this information to make a change?’”
For a limited time, TCC will provide access to the CCAT for a special, low introductory rate of just $250 for individual nonprofits, a $50 savings. Funders purchasing multiple copies of the CCAT for their grantees qualify for additional price reductions depending on the number of copies purchased. Membership associations may also qualify for additional member discounts.
